Tips:
Use the Aged Debtors plugin to view a breakdown of all the unpaid invoices in Synergy, grouped by the number of days payment is overdue.
The aged debt is shown grouped by the Invoice Due Date. The Due Date is calculated as the (Invoice Date + the Invoice Terms). For example if the invoice date is the 1st March, and the invoice terms are 30 days, then invoice is due on the 31st March.
If an invoice is raised today and has 30 day terms, then it won't appear in the Aged Debtors (Due date) 0-30 outstanding for a further 30 days. Instead it will be shown within the 'Current' grouping, as the invoice is not yet Overdue. Once the invoice has been unpaid for greater than 30 days (or the payment terms selected on the invoice), it will be shown in the other aged debt groupings.
Tip: For these plugin's to show accurate data, you must either importing payments via Connect, or manually enter payments into Synergy. Locate Connect Payments overview to learn more. Director, Administrator, System Administrator
The ageing period for all work that has been completed, and has not yet been invoiced to your clients is displayed. The aged WIP is grouped into defined aging periods, to help you see at a glance the percentage of chargeable work for each aged period that could be overdue for invoicing.

Based on your Synergy access level the relevant alerts are shown.
For example if you are a User or Assistant Project Manager, only the Missing Timesheets alert is shown. However if you are Project Manager (or higher) then the Alerts plugin is made up of several different sections. You will also see Alerts for Staff you manage. The Alerts displayed will vary based upon your staff access level, and which Alerts are enabled within the System Settings.
Double click on an alert to open the linked item, such as a project or invoice.

Use broadcast messages to send a message to a particular access level (i.e. just project managers), or to notify all staff at the one time. The message can have priority set, and has an expiry set that will automatically remove the message from the users dashboard.

Insert your company logo. The image should be a .bmp, .jpeg, .gif or .tif file. You may need to consider resizing the image, before it is imported to Synergy, to ensure that it fits in the required area on the My Synergy dashboard. Note: The Company Logo plugin can also be resized on the My Synergy dashboard to better display the logo.

View a summary of the Forward Loading management report. This summary is reviewing all the active projects in Synergy and what the current WIP value is for all projects. Based on the current number of staff employed and the WIP value, a number of months is shown in the forward loading panel to represent how long your company can continue to pay all the staff salaries with the current project workload. NEW 4.8
Click on the plugin to open the Forward Loading report, and review the report used to calculate this figure.

The plugin is displaying the graph from the Revenue tab in the graph section of the Cost vs Revenue Management Report. This is the company wide invoice totals for the last 12 months (including GST). NEW 4.8
Click on the plugin to open the management report, to see how these figures were calculated. This action is available for Director, Administrator, and System Administrator access levels. Use the My Projects plugin to show a quick list of your current projects. My Projects are defined within Projects List, and they are your most frequently used projects. Adding the My Projects plugin to your dashboard allows you to quickly open a project and view/update the details, send documents to the Project Contacts, and access the Project Folders.

Reminders are attached to a projects or to a notes, to remind you to complete a task. Use this plugin to view all your reminders, and use the actions to snooze (postpone) or delete the reminders. Use this plugin to easily run your most commonly used Synergy reports. My Reports displays a list of your customised reports, which are saved as within the Reports function. Reports can be customised to automatically run to On Screen, or Export the data to Excel or PDF.

View the project tasks scheduled for you to work on in either a day, week or month view. NEW 4.8 The default view is weekly view, to allow you to view quickly all the tasks you have scheduled for you to complete this week.

Toggle to a different date using the calendar drop down and arrow keys, to see what work you are scheduled to complete next month. The project tasks are scheduled within the Resource Management module (*Synergy Enterprise clients only*).
When the project manager allocates you to the project task for a set date and time range, the item is shown in your 'My Schedule' plugin. The read only details shown for each scheduled task are the Project Number, Project Title, Sub Project Name, and Task. Hover the mouse over the task and extra details are shown for the scheduled task. The mouse hover details shown are the Project Number, Project Title, Sub Project Name, Rate, Task, Length of the scheduled task in hours.

Compare your time spent on timesheet tasks which were utilised (linked to chargeable project tasks) or non-utilised (linked to internal <Office> or Admin tasks). These plugin's are populated once you have completed timesheets for the period shown. There are three plugin's available to check your utilisation on your My Synergy dashboard.

Actual Cost Plugin's
Standard Cost Plugin's
Director and System Administrator can add both Standard and Actual Cost plugin's. Administrator can add the Standard Cost plugin's only.
Use the Project Manager Aged Debtors plugin to view a breakdown of the total unpaid invoices, for only the Projects that you are linked to as a Project Manager.
Aged Debt is shown based on the Invoice Date entered on the invoice. For example, the invoices shown as 0-30 days group have been generated within this month. Use the aged debt bands to view a breakdown of the percentage of total overdue invoices, which are outstanding for each aged debt period.

This displays the aged WIP attached to all projects where you are assigned as the Project Manager. This allows you to see a summary of the work that has been completed, and has not yet been invoiced to your clients. The aged WIP is grouped into defined aging periods, to help you see at a glance how many days the WIP has been overdue for invoicing. NEW 4.8

The invoice totals for the last 12 months (including GST), for the projects that you are linked to as a Project Manager are shown. If credit notes (tax adjustments) have been dated in a particular month, they will also be taken into account in the monthly totals.

This action is available for Director, Administrator, and System Administrator access levels. The Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager access levels do not have access to Management reports, so this click through action has been disabled.

A graph view of how many new projects were created in each month, and how many of these projects were Won (when they are converted from Proposal to Active project status), and how many of these were Lost (when changed to be Unsuccessful project status).

A summary graph of the management report 'Revenue per Utilised Hour' is shown. The graph is displays a $$ value for each utilised hour worked. This value is calculated as the total revenue for the month divided by the total utilised hours for the month. The graph shows the last 12 months of data, which are the current month and the 11 previous months.

The staff details listed are entered within Practice > Staff and Application Security function, and can be updated by a system administrator or director of Synergy if required. The last 12 months of utilised vs non-utilised time for all staff at that you manage is displayed. If you do not have any staff reporting to you in Synergy (Configure in Practice > Staff and Application Security) then this graph will be blank.
This graph is display a month by month breakdown, where the red colour is the non-utilised time (non project or non chargeable work) and the blue colour is the utilised time (project work that can be chargeable). The total number of hours within all staff timesheets for the month is shown on the left side of the graph, with each month displayed along the bottom.
