Report Overview
The Revenue per Utilised Hour Report displays the following data:
- Graph - Revenue per Staff
This displays the average invoiced value per staff member employed in a 12 month period. This is calculated as the total invoiced revenue for the month divided by the number of staff. This average revenue per staff is shown for 12 months, which are the current month and the previous 11 months.
- Graph - Revenue
This displays the monthly invoiced revenue value as an excluding tax value. Draft invoices are excluded from the report data. Credit Note values are included, and the credit value is always subtracted from the original invoice month. This means the credit is applied to the month the original invoice was created (the invoice date). The total invoice (less credit) value is shown for each month for a 12 month period, which are the current month and the previous 11 months.
- Graph - Staff
This displays the total number of staff employed for each month. The graph displays 12 months of data, which are the current month and the previous 11 months. If the staff member leaves the company mid-month, then they will be shown as available for half of the month.
- Invoices Data Tab
The invoice value shown is excluding tax, and a separate row is shown here for each project invoice. The data is split further for the report to be shown as a separate summary rows for when and of the following details differ: month, office, project manager, sub project manager, cost centre, and discipline. When any one of those details are different on the project, then this is shown as a separate row in the grid. The data tab can be exported to MS Excel®.
Credit notes and cancelled invoices values are deducted from the original invoice number before the data in this tab is loaded. This means the credit value is always deducted from the original invoice, in the month that the original invoice was raised. Credit note details are not displayed in the report.
- Staff Data Tab
A row is shown for each month that each staff member is employed. If the staff member has since been terminated, they will only be included in the report formula up till their termination date which is shown in the 'Finish date' column. The data tab can be exported to MS Excel®.
Tip: The revenue value shown is the invoice value excluding tax. Credit notes, or cancelled invoice values are subtracted from the original invoice value before the data is displayed in the report.
The report opens with all the filters selected. This displays the average per revenue value for each month. The graph and data tab are interactive, and they will automatically updated as the filters are changed.
