The Cost and Revenue Management report allows you to compare the invoiced revenue for each month, against the project costs that were incurred for the same period. Use the graph to monitor trends in the invoiced values and costs. NEW 4.8

View the difference between the monthly project revenue, and the monthly costs to complete the project work in the Graph. This report is calculated using the invoiced transactions and cost totals shown the Data tab. The type of cost shown can be either Standard or Actual costs, which is controlled using the Settings panel options.
The invoice and cost data is displayed for a 12 month period, where the invoice data is shown based on the invoice date for the transaction. The invoice value shown is excluding tax. Credit, Cancelled Invoice and Write Off values fall into the month the original invoice was created within (not the month of the credit date). Draft invoices are excluded from the report data.
Add the 'Costs and Revenue plugin' to the My Synergy dashboard to see the details as you login to Synergy. Double click on the plugin to open the Management report.

Compare the invoiced revenue for each month against the cost of running the projects.
The Costs and Revenue Report displays the following data:
Tip:Credit values fall into the month the original invoice was created within (not the month of the credit note date). Draft invoices are excluded from the report. The Invoice value shown is excluding tax.
The report opens with all the filters selected. This displays the total revenue value invoiced for each month compared to the costs. The graph and data tab are interactive, and they will automatically update as the filters are changed. The example below shows that there was a surge of activity that was profitable in June 2012. In this period the revenue made from the project work was higher than the cost incurred. The data table shows the report details grouped by month. Group the data like this to see the total cost or invoice value for each month shown in the graph.

Tip: A separate row is shown for month, office, project manager, sub project manager, cost centre, and discipline. When any one of those details are different on the project, then this is shown as a separate row in the grid of the data tab.
