Creating a new Project

Setup required before use	Who can use it?	Where is it?
Sub Project Templates Project Prefix Staff & Access levels Custom status Project teams	Project Manager Director Administrator System Administrator	Projects > New

1. Select a prefix from the 'Project #' drop down list.
2. Select an Office from the list - [Synergy Enterprise Feature].
3. Type a Project Title. This can be shown on client documents and invoices.
4. Type a Reference name. This is the internal name for the Project, and used on reports and when entering timesheets.
5. Select a Manager.
6. Select the status for the new project. i.e. Proposal or Active.
7. (Optional) Type the Client Ref #, Scope of Work and Site Address.
8. (Optional) Go to the Attributes tab and enter any mandatory attributes shown with a blue attribute name.
9. Click the Save button in the top toolbar next to Save and Close.

1. Select the Contacts tab.
2. Select a role from the list i.e. Client.
3. Under the Contact heading start to type the name of a company.
4. Select a Personnel from the contact.
5. Save.

1. A list of Sub Projects will appear : tick the box on the left against as many as required.Continue adding sub projects and setting the fee type and fee amounts.
2. Save.

1. Select the Sub project tab (or Financial Summary).
2. Double click on the sub projects.
3. Type the value for this one sub project.
4. Save and Close.
5. You will notice the fee amount starting to add up on the Financial Summary tab.

1. Select the Rates tab.
2. Check the specific box against a rate.
3. Nominate the Rate.
4. Select an Effective Date.
5. Save.

1. Click into the Value field against the attribute group.
2. Select from a list or check multiple options from the tick list. Depending on the type you may be able to type in a value, date etc. 
3. Press the tab key and repeat for each Attribute group.
4. Save.

Office expenses such as drawings can be entered as a cost and charge to help measure against budget.

1. Select Transactions.
2. Select Add New Office Expense.
3. The Project will already be selected.
4. Select the rate, enter units, a note and save.
