Contacts List

Use the search field in contact list to look for a specific existing contact record. To search:

1. Locate the search box in the Contacts List toolbar.
2. Type part of the contact name into the search box.
3. Press enter to run the search.

Use the filter tool in contact list, to limit the contacts that are displayed. To filter the list:

1. Click the arrow next to the word 'Active', which is the default list filter.
2. Select a filter from the list. Filters available are:
   1. My Project ContactsAny contacts that are attached to one of your 'My Projects' are shown. My Projects is used to show you a list of your favourite projects in Synergy, where are My Project Contacts is used to show you the list of your contacts that are part of your favourite projects.
   2. AllBoth active and inactive contacts are shown in the list. Also contacts of any type are shown in this view (both company and individual types).
   3. ActiveOnly active contacts are shown in the list. These contacts can still be attached to projects, or used to be sent invoices in the future.
   4. Not ActiveOnly inactive contacts are shown in the list. These contacts are not available in drop down lists any more in the Synergy Desktop Application, as making the contact 'inactive' stop future use of the record.
   5. CompaniesOnly contacts that are created as the company type are shown. Companies are created for any business or when you need to link multiple personnel records or addresses to the contact for use in Synergy.
   6. IndividualsOnly contacts of the individual type are shown in the list. Individual contacts are created for a person that is not part of a company, but they are involved with your Synergy project. i.e. Mr John Davidson has contacted you to quote on some work at his home. He is not part of a company, but you need to store his contact details in Synergy.

Click on a contact name in the list, to open the contact and view the details.

Or open directly to a specific tab within the contact by clicking the actions button on the right of the row. Choose one of the following contact tabs from the actions menu:

• Details
• Address
• Personnel
• Projects
• Attributes
• Notes

1. Click the email address for the contact within the list, and a new email message to the contact will open in your email client.
2. Open the contact record and navigate to the 'personnel tab' to send an email to a specific person that works for the contact.

1. NameThe contact name is displayed.
2. EmailThe email address of the contact is displayed. Click on the address in the list to send a new email to the contact using your default email client.
3. PhoneThe main office phone number for the contact is displayed.
4. MobileThe mobile number entered for the contact is displayed.
