Contact Details Tab
The Contact Details Tab is shown by default when opening a contact from Contacts List. This is the 'General' tab in the desktop application, and displays the contact name and primary contact details like phone numbers and email addresses.
What is the Contact Details tab?
The Details Tab displays the contact name, tax numbers (ABN and ACN), phone numbers, email and web site addresses, and the ID numbers for accounting package interfaces. This information is shown in a read only view.

Why use the Contact Details tab?
Use this tab to look up the main office phone numbers for the Contact, email address, or tax registration numbers for the Contact.
Columns available
View the details of each of the columns shown in the list
- NameThe contact name is shown. This name is used for Invoicing, Reporting, and creating Synergy documents.
- ACNThe Australian Company Number (ACN) is a nine digit number issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to every company as an identifier.
- ABNThe Australian Business Number (ABN) is a unique identifier issued by the Australian Business Register (ABR). This number is a requirement for the Australian taxation system managed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
- PhoneThe main office phone number for the contact.
- FaxThe main fax number for the contact.
- OtherAn alternate phone number for the contact can be stored here.
- MobileA mobile number for the contact.
- EmailThe main email address to use for the contact.
- WebThe website address for the contact.
- Card IDThe reference number for the contact used within the MYOB accounting package. Use Card ID's to map a contact name in Synergy, with a contact name in MYOB when the spelling of the name is very similar. i.e. Mr J Smith Vs Mr J Smithson. The Card ID is then a unique key used for matching the two records together.
- Account CodeUsed to store the account number for this contact from the accounting package. If populated this will ensure that when an invoice is created for this contact, it will be allocated to the correct account when sent to the accounting package.
- Account ManagerThe internal staff member that is responsible for managing this client account.
