Synergy 4.7.0 Minor release
Learn what enhancements and maintenance work was completed as part of the 4.7.0 Synergy release.

Open a Project > Delete button. The delete button on a Project has been moved. It is no longer available on the Project form, instead use the File > Delete option. |

Open a Project > Contacts. Select the button New Contact to create a new Contact whilst the project is still open. |
|
Open a Project > Profitability. New optional column have been added - Chg. Value (chargeable value of WIP + chargeable value of invoiced transactions) as well as Discipline, Cost Centre and Manager. Right click to add/remove columns. |

Open a Project > Forecast. A negative value is now calculated if an Invoice is created that is higher than the forecast schedule. More. |

Sub Projects > Copy sub project. The Invoiced amount and Agreed Fee is now refreshed when a sub project is copied. Also, User access levels can no longer copy a sub project. |

Sub Projects > Write off. Transactions booked to Unallocated costs can no longer be written off. They need to be transferred to an open sub project where they can then be written off. |
|
Open a Project > Action > Audit Log. A log record is recorded when the Office the project is linked to is changed. |
|
Projects grid > Right click. Using the right click to filter data on the grid will now exclude or filter by the selected piece of data. |
|
Open a Project > WIP transfer. When doing a WIP transfer, you can now print a list of the transactions that were transferred. |
|
Open a Project > General tab. Click the cog icon to change the Project directory location that is linked to Synergy. |
|
Projects > Earned Valuation. The Project Reference name is displayed instead of the Project Title. |
|
Project > Notes > Links. Double clicking an email message that is attached to the Note will now open on MS Outlook®. |
|
Open a Contract > Contract Instruction. You can now create a Variation from a Contract Instruction. Click the ruler to start the process of a Variation. |

Open a Contract > General tab. As a Contract is created, you will be selecting a Project # from the project database. Now you can copy the contacts from the Project. More. |

Open a Contract> Any tab. When selecting 'right click' the options available are now consistent on each tab. |
|
Open a Contract > Delete button. The delete button on a Contract has been moved. It is no longer available on the Contract form, instead use the File > Delete option. |

Open a Contract > Contract Breakdown. Sorting button has been added that enables you to set the order of the Contract items here and how they appear through progress claims and variations. |

Open a Contract > Contract Breakdown. While in the process of adding Contract items to the breakdown, the Delete button against items will be disabled until Save is selected. |

Open a Contract > Contract Breakdown. The Contract Item name/s can be edited before they are saved against the breakdown. More. |

Open a Contract > AOT > Approval. Upon approving an AOT the system will now extend the practical completion date after subsequent AOT's have been approved. |

Open a Contract > RFI > Respond with Contract Instruction. When a Contract Instruction is removed, which was created in response to an RFI, the history record is also removed from the RFI. Previously the record of the Instruction still remained. |

Reports > Progress Claim reports. The following filters have been added to the Progress Claims reports: Progress claim lodged, claim status, claim invoice number and claim due date. |
|
Reports > Contract Summary Report. The amounts for contract breakdown items now reflect the Tax Rule option selected against the breakdown item. Eg. if the tax rule is set to Tax free, then the amount on the report won't reflect Tax applicable. This change also affects the Summary Document. |
|
Project > Invoices. 2 new columns appear on the Invoices screen - Aged Debtor [this will display the ageing debtor period] and Payment Days [counts the number of days from Invoice Date to Payment Date]. You can add/remove columns by right clicking. |

Projects > Invoice Maintenance. At the Search.... drop down a new view is available: All Invoices on Projects I Manage. |
|
Create a Credit > Discount Invoices lines. The amount credited is now proportioned across each Invoice line. |
|
Project > Invoices. When selecting right click then export to excel, the Invoice number no longer display as zero. |
|
Project > Invoices. If a DRAFT invoice has been saved with the Postal address selected, upon viewing the Invoice the address no longer reverts to the Street address. |

Reports > New column. The 'Office' has been added to all reports as a column. |
|
Project > Move office. The function has been enhanced to show pop ups and the rebuild of project folders will occur in the new office, not the originating office. |

Administration tools > Document Templates > All Contract documents. Personnel details are now available for Contractor and Contract Owner. Previously the Company name would be displayed on a document, however now the Person at the company will be available. |
|
Administration tools > Document Templates > Contract Instruction. New bookmarks have been added: Issued Date, Issued Long date and Issued d-mmm-yyyy. |

Administration tools > Document Templates > Payment Certificate. New template bookmarks have been added: Certificate Number 'in word'; Contract Owner. |
|
Administration tools > Document Templates > Breakdown Assessment Table. Bookmarks have been added for Contract Number and Item Numbers. This table is available in the Contract PCA template. |
|
Administration tools > Document Templates > Progress Payment Certificate. The liquidated damages including tax has been added. |

Administration tools Download.> Document Templates > Templates > You can now download a document template of the same name from the document library. A (2) etc will be added to the end of the template name. This can be rectified and the template renamed once downloaded. |

Administration tools > Document Templates > Progress Certificate. Total work completed to date - including and excluding tax bookmarks have been added. The retention amount will be deducted from this amount when the certificate is created. |

Administration tools Proposal.> Document Templates > Phases and Sub Projects can appear on the one Proposal document. So if you group 3 sub projects into a phase, the Phase will appear as a header and then the details of the 3 sub projects will appear underneath. |
Projects > My Project List. Set the option to auto add projects where you are a team member. More. | |
Administration tools Sub Project Templates.> Teams can now be added to the sub project templates, so the team members will be added to the project automatically. |
My Synergy > Notes. The size of the note field has been increased to 500 characters. | |
My Synergy > Graph plugins. The Graph plugins format and design has been updated. | |
My Synergy > Configure. A new plugin has been added for Project Manager Aged Debtors. So if you're a Project Manager only outstanding invoices where you are the project manager will be displayed. Office wide Aged Debtor plugin has been disabled for Project Managers. | |
My Synergy > Attribute Alerts. Date attribute alerts created for Staff and Contacts now display the relevant alert text when the alert is set before the due date. | |
Sub Project > Attributes. When the alert setting has been setup against a Date Attribute, selecting the white flag when the alert appears will now dismiss the alert. This appeared to be an issue only when the first alert setting was activated 'Show where the attribute date is within X days'. |
Copy Timesheet.> When copying a timesheet items can be deselected. Previously only the whole day copied and a transactions couldn't be deselected. | |
Projects > Expenses (Invoices/Bills) > Disbursement details. The residual no longer produces an error when the ex tax figure causes a rounding issue. | |
Expenses.> Timesheets > In both the Cash Expenses and Travel Expenses a drop down is available to specify the Expense type for each transaction. More. | |
Projects > Expenses (Invoices/Bills) > General. The Invoice Number field can now only accept 20 characters - this ensures compatibility with MYOB Expense Connect. |
Practice > Staff. Notes can be attached to staff. This includes Document Links so staff documents can be setup and attached. More. | |
Practice > Staff > Search. You are now able to quickly search for staff. Type in first or last name and press enter. | |
Attributes.> The length of the attributes now supports 250 characters. |
Practice > Invoice reports. The Invoice Attention to Contact and Attention to Personnel filters are now available as filters on the Invoice Reports. | |
Contact Category > Expense Reports. The Expense Type is now available to add as a column on Expense reports. | |
Columns. Applying a Count on alpha data columns using the Merge options on reports will now display a total for the number of rows displayed on the report. More. | |
Download. 2 new reports area available that display the date the status was changed on a project or sub project. | |
Filters. Using the filters Status changed from Proposal (All) now displays results. | |
Transaction level reports > Filters. A new filter has been added that enables you to report on Expenses that are active. The filter is called Expense is Active, which you would then select True (active) or False (inactive). | |
Reports. Applying an OR statement is no longer available when the data belongs to different levels. For example the join between a Contact filter and Personnel filter must be AND, not OR. | |
Sub Project > Budget or Budget Analysis. A new filter has been added for Rate Description. This will enable you to filter a particular Rate e.g. Director, as well as Sort by and Group by this field. |
