Project Phases and Sub Projects

Phases in timesheets and project copy

What's new

  1. Time and Expense entry - phase name is shown in the Sub Project drop down list when entering timesheets or expenses in the Synergy desktop application.
  2. Project Copy - copy an existing project to create a new job. Project copy will include options to copy the Phases and Sub Projects, and copy the custom sub project tasks and budget items.
  3. Security - security added to ensure you cannot delete a phase or sub project if it has been used on an invoice or credit note.

Why use it - when sub projects have the same name, check that you have the correct phase name when entering time or expenses. Quickly create a new project by using Project Copy to duplicate an existing project, and have the new project created with the phase groupings applied, and the resource management items like sub project custom tasks and budget items copied across. Take comfort in knowing there is security in the system to stop you from deleting data that is attached to invoices.

Hourly rate grouping in fee detail table

What's new

  1. Rate standard value not calculated shown - hourly rate sub projects in the fee detail table can display the standard rate value instead of the calculated value (after transaction discounts and surcharges).
  2. Grouping - by keeping the rate consistent, there will be less row groupings for the transactions in the fee detail table.

Why use it - ensure the standard rate value is shown on the invoice when transactions have been marked up or down, and stop the client from seeing the discounted rate values used.
