Projects

Phases > Delete security. A user is unable to delete a phase if it is linked to an invoice of any status (invoice, credit or cancelled).

Sub Projects > Delete security. A user is unable to delete a sub project if it is linked to an invoice of any status (invoice, credit or cancelled).

Credit Notes > Undo credit note date. The date to be applied to the undo credit note entry can be selected from a calendar. In previous releases of Synergy the undo credit note date defaulted to today's date and couldn't be changed.

Cancelled Invoice > Delete option. A new option has been added for System Administrator to delete a cancelled invoice. This action will remove both the invoice record, and the linked cancelled credit note to stop them from being sent to your accounting package. When the cancelled invoice is deleted, the action is tracked in the Project Audit log.

Project Contacts > Optional Columns. A new optional column is available for 'Position' to show the position of the personnel record in the Project Contacts tab.

Drawing register > Automatic numbering. The automatic number applied to a new drawing row now shows the word 'Auto' if it is going to be applied. When you select the number field Auto will change to -1 to allow you to define the drawing number of zero. If zero is entered as the drawing number, and already exists on an entry for that drawing prefix, then the next available number in the sequence will be applied to the new drawing.

Sub Projects > Sorting. When a sub project is at complete or unsuccessful status the name is shown in a grey colour with strike-out applied. This makes it easier to see which sub projects are complete when changing the sort order in an active sub project.

Project Copy > Phases and Budgets. The project copy feature has been enhanced to copy the phase groupings, custom sub project tasks, and sub project budget to the new project. This allows you to setup project templates in Synergy to be copied to start a new project and include all the required items.

Work Breakdown > Phases. The sub project sort is kept when the summary actuals view is activated in a project that uses phase groupings.

Invoice and credits > NZ tax rates. Synergy has been updated to include support for the 15% NZ tax rate in invoices and credit notes.

Invoicing> Pre-Billing. When opening the pre-billing window you can always update the linked transactions, and remove the pre-billing placeholder.

Projects List > My Projects. A project can be removed from the My Projects List, if it was added as favourite in either the desktop or cloud application.

Projects List > Optional columns. If the user sets optional columns in Project List, then they will still be shown the next time they login.

Phases > Sorting and grouping. The sorting and grouping applied for a phase project will remain in place, even if the user presses the little save button 5 times in a row.

Sub Project > Specific rates. The specific rate value is applied to existing timesheet transactions, if they were entered via Synergy Cloud Services or the Synergy Desktop application.

Time and Expenses

Phases > Time and expense entry. The sub projects drop down list displays the 'phase name' in time and expense entry. This allows you to find the correct sub project to enter your transaction against, when more than one sub project has the same name but lives in different phases.

Reports

Financial filters group. Available for the Project, Sub Project, and Transaction filter groups. Helps you to review the project fees, budgets, residual values, and transaction financial information.

Connect

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect > Payment export. The column 'Invoice Date' has been added to the payment export tab in the connect preview window to make it easier to troubleshoot any payment error shown.

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect >Network company file. A new connection option has been added to support the MYOB company file being stored in a network location.

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect > Payments. The filters applied on the invoices settings window are also applied to the payments.

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect > Contacts. Support for long contact names in the export added. If the contact name is longer than the allowed value in MYOB then the contact name can be truncated should be activated.

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect > Cloud file sync. Improvements added for the MYOB Cloud company file connection, to cater for slow connection speeds from either MYOB or the company's internet speed.

MYOB Connect > Support for MYOB Classic V19.10. Synergy support has been expanded to include support for MYOB V19.10 (Classic MYOB product).

Xero Connect > Payments & NZ GST. The payment import to Synergy from Xero has been upgraded to fully support the new 15% NZ tax rate.

Administration Tools

Document Templates > Invoice Template. The fee detail table on the invoice includes a method to display the standard rate value instead of the calculated rate on the output for hourly rate sub project fee types.

Staff > Super Bulk Update. The staff name is shown in the bulk update wizard even if the staff record in Synergy doesn't have salutation (i.e. Mr or Mrs).
