The Submit button is found above the calendar, and is used to send the timesheet to Synergy so that it can be seen inside a Project. Only timesheets need to be submitted, for an expense this process happens automatically.
How this setting works depends on if the Timesheet Approval process to have a manager check all timesheets is switched on/off in the desktop application. IF:
The undo submit button is found above the calendar, and is used to remove the timesheets entered on day from being 'submitted'. This means they stop showing as WIP within a project in the desktop application, and they cannot be invoiced or approved by your manager (when approvals is ON). When a day is changed to 'non submitted' it is shown as yellow in the calendar.
Approvals - Use the Undo Submit button when you need to edit a timesheet entered for approval. If the timesheet has not yet been approved you can use the 'undo submit' button to then make the 'edit' option for the timesheet available in the web application.
This button has no effect if you use 'undo submit' on a day that has already been approved. Once the day is approved you cannot amend your timesheets and will need to contact your manager to make any changes.
Use the print button to create an on-screen report which you can print or save as a PDF file. This report can be run to display either your entered timesheets, or your expenses (cash and travel).

Use the 'today' button above the calendar to return to viewing the timesheets entered for today, and the current month in the calendar view. This can be helpful when you have toggled back to see a few months ago, and want to now enter more items for this month/today.
Use the buttons above the calendar to switch which month is shown. Change to next month or last month .
If you need to switch back many months then try using the Year view. Click the Summary tab > select the Year report view from the list. There you can easily toggle back years, and select a certain month from the year calendar view.
