Navigating Synergy

The toolbars are used to navigate through the Synergy functions and areas. Click on your name or profile picture in the top toolbar to see the different areas available.

What is the Synergy toolbar?

The toolbar contains a button to open each of the Synergy Cloud Services features.

Why use this Synergy toolbar?

To open each of the Synergy functions, look up information in Synergy help, and navigate to Support or Accounts areas.

Toolbar Views available

Desktop and Tablet View

This toolbar view is available by default from a desktop or laptop, and a tablet using your web browser. Click your name or profile picture shown on the far right of the toolbar to open the expanding menu. This shows a quick list of all the Synergy areas to help you navigate through the cloud app.

The expanded menu style is shown below, with all the areas available to the logged user shown. Click on an area name in the list to open that part of the app.

Mobile View

This is the toolbar default view when using Synergy from a mobile phone. If you resize your browser on a desktop PC to be a smaller size, you will also be shown this view. Click the menu button to expand the menu to see all the Synergy Cloud Services areas.

After selecting the expand menu button on the right, a list of all the areas in the cloud app are shown. Click on any feature in the list to open that area of the app.

Functions available

Toolbar buttons to navigate to each of the following Synergy functions:

1. DashboardThis will open the Synergy Application dashboard page, which displays this weeks Timesheets, allows you to search for projects and contacts, and displays your user profile details.
2. ProjectsThis opens Project List to display all your 'My Projects'.
3. ContactsThis opens Contacts List to display all your 'My Projects' Contacts.
4. TimesheetsThis will display the Daily Timesheet entry screen. Use the tabs in this function to navigate to Cash and Travel expenses.
5. HelpOpens the Synergy help files.
6. Expanding Menu - View a list of the other extra features available. Use the Search option to look-up projects and contacts, or select Note to view a list of notes you have entered in the Cloud App. An extra option of Maps is available to create map that shows many locations using Google Maps.

User Menu options:

1. HomeOpens the Home Menu page which allows you to switch between different Synergy databases, and open Support or Accounts area. Learn more about Home and Profile.
2. ProfileUpdate your profile details and add a Gravatar to be shown as your profile picture. Learn more about Home and Profile.
3. ApplicationOpens the Dashboard page of the Synergy Cloud Services Application.
4. AccountOpens Accounts for your company database. Access to this area is granted if your login account is setup as an account manager. Use Accounts to check your Synergy license details, and view any current invoices. Learn more about Synergy Account Maintenance.
5. SupportOpens Support which is used to watch training videos, download installation files and training guides, and log a request for assistance on the Total Synergy Helpdesk. Learn more about who has access to Support.
6. LogoutChoose this menu option to close and logout of Synergy Cloud Services. There is an option to log back in if you change your mind or want to login as another user.
