Who Can Use It?	Where Is It?
System Administrator	Tools > System Settings > Links tab

Allow the system wide use of synchronising contacts in Synergy to MS Outlook®.  If perhaps you'd like to use the feature though you don't want all people to access it:

1. Leave the setting switched off.
2. Return here, turn it on.
3. Run the sync to MS Outlook®.
4. Then return here and turn in off.

1. Select the drop down .
2. Select from one of the filing options in this list.
3. Save.

Manually setup a custom save as format

You can also manually setup the file name, by entering the file tag options:

<email.subject/>

<email.date[yyyy-MM-dd]/>

<email.date[yyyy-MM-dd HH-mm-ss]/>

<email.shortdate/>

<email.subject/>

<synergy.username/>

<currentshortdate/>

Then add them together with text and spaces between each file tag.

Example

<email.subject/> - <currentshortdate/> [saved by Synergy user <synergy.username/>]

Just remember to put the brackets < > around the tag and the forward slash / at the end of the tag. No other text or symbol is required to be placed around the free form text, such as saved by Synergy user. 

The date shown in the 'Save as' email name in Synergy MS Outlook® plug-in can be customised. The date format in the <email.date[yyyy-MM-dd]/> file tag, and can be changed by:

1. Selecting the <email.date> file tag option from the drop down list, or typing the tag into the save as format field.
2. Overtype the date portion, and enter you own custom date format.
3. Include the year, month, date or time fields as required.
4. Save.

This change will take effect for all users, the next time they re-open MS Outlook® and login to Synergy via the MS Outlook® plug-in.

The date format can be amended to include/exclude the dash, or shorten the year displayed, or change the order of the parts shown.

Examples of valid date formats

<email.date[yyMMdd]/> = 140131

<email.date[yy-MM-dd]/> = 14-01-31

<email.date[yyyy-MM-dd]/> = 2014-01-31

<email.date[dd-MM-yyyy]/> = 31-01-2014

<email.date[yyyy-MM-dd HH-mm-ss]/> = 2014-01-31 09-30-33 (This is the date and the time)
