The Inspection Rate allows a flat rate per site visit to be set for one or more Inspections. They work by entering a set charge value and the inspection rate can be selected when entering timesheets. The timesheet entry hours are 'real time' but the rate is charged to the client as per the site inspection rate.

Tips
The description will appear on the timesheet entry screen, reports and invoices (optional). Many different inspection rates can be created. Such as CBD, Country, Interstate etc.
All rates within Synergy contain a cost and charge figure. The difference between the two is the profit estimate. When budgets are created we use the cost figure to calculate an overall sub project budget estimate.
Each site inspection charge out is worked out roughly on a certain number of hours, mileage to and from site etc. The overhead cost is this figure - excluding profit. So work backwards - your charge out includes the profit and relevant hours, mileage etc, now take out the profit.
Set the charge out (including profit) that will be used to invoice the client. This is a flat rate per inspection, so if you agree with the client that every site inspection carried out will be charged at an agreed flat rate - this is what is typed.
Don't worry...you may be thinking, that the rate is different on every project. That's OK, create a default rate here, then attach it to the sub project with the project rate.

Site inspections can be filtered on reports. Any report that has an expandable Transaction Filters heading, you will be able to do it. Use the Transaction Rate Description filter option. |
