Using date filters

Instead of specifying an actual date when using date filters on reports, the following filters have been added to reports.

Tips:

Filter Examples

If you were to add these filters on the April 1 2018, the following definition would apply:

Filter/column	Example	Definition
IS		Filter a specific date.
IS BEFORE		Return records before a particular date. Excludes date selected.
IS AFTER		Return records after a particular date. Excludes date selected.
IS BETWEEN		Return records within a date range. Includes date selected.
IS TODAY / TOMORROW / YESTERDAY	March 31, April 1, April 2	No date is applied - the report will always run results for today, tomorrow, yesterday.
THIS / LAST / NEXT WEEK		Monday to Sunday.
THIS / LAST / NEXT MONTH	April / March / May	From the first to the last day of the month.
THIS / LAST / NEXT QUARTER	Apr-Jun / Jan-Mar / Jul-Sep	Quarters are based on calendar year so Q1: Jan-Mar, Q2: Apr-Jun, Q3: Jul-Sep, Q4: Oct-Dec
THIS / LAST / NEXT YEAR	2018 / 2017 / 2019	Calendar year 1st January to 31st December inclusive.
IN THE PREVIOUS # DAYS		Return previous number of days including today
IS LESS THAN # DAYS AGO		Return only transactions entered within the set # days :: includes transactions entered on the day the report is run
IS MORE THAN # DAYS AGO		Easily exclude transactions entered on the day the report is being run :: when is more than 1 day ago, this would exclude today’s entries only
IS BETWEEN # DAYS AGO		Set number of days :: Eg if running the report on Mondays, you want timesheets entered from the previous Monday to Sunday just gone. The filter would be is between 1 and 7 days ago
WEEK DAY		Select the days of the week to be included or excluded from the report
MONDAY TO FRIDAY		Set an automatic filter of only week days :: excludes weekends
REPORT PERIODS		Create your own customised set of reporting periods. To learn more view Report Periods Setup topic. NEW 4.8
