Archiving a project does a number of things. Firstly it removes the project from the search items and default reports. Secondly it moves the transactions, sub projects and invoices pertaining to the project to a different set of tables. What this means is if you needed to run a Utilisation report for staff and a project had been archived, the times associated with that project will not appear.

This will be a list of projects that have the status of Unsuccessful or Complete only.
this button will archive all available projects in the list - this cannot be undone
Once the project is archived, search for it, then double click the project. The project maintenance screen will appear. You will notice there is not a lot of information displayed. Just under the project number and field to enter the Archive location can be found.
Tip: A setting is available that can permit only Administrators, Director and System Administrator access levels to archive or restore a project, read more in System Settings
