There are three standard calendars from which to choose and each will calculate the expiry of the defects liability period differently based on the number of years, months or days specified.
The working days calendar includes all days between Monday and Friday (inclusive). The expiry date of the defects liability period is calculated by adding the total number of working days from the defects liability commencement date, based on the number of years/months/days specified.
The calendar days calendar includes all days between Monday and Sunday (inclusive). The expiry date of the defects liability period is calculated by adding the total number of calendar days from the defects liability commencement date, based on the number of years/months/days specified.
This calendar allows you to enter a specific date instead of calculating the expiry date of the defects liability period based on the number of years/months/days specified.
Specify the commencement of the defects liability period either by ticking the box ”At Practical Completion” or specifying a date.
Enter how long the defects liability period will be by entering either a number of years, months or days, or a combination of the three.
The expiry date of the defects liability period is automatically calculated depending on the date of commencement, the calendar chosen and the length of time entered. When using ”Other Calendar” you are able to enter the expiry date manually.
