Invoices > Pre-Billing > Auto Allocate. The auto allocation of the sub project invoice value across the selected transactions is using the 'per unit charge value'. |
Invoices > Email and PDF the invoice. When using the 'Email and PDF the Invoice' button the email wizard will first check if the file exists. The PDF file is only created if the file does not already exist in the Invoices folder. |

Sub Projects > Enable Phases. The enabling of phases from within the Sub Projects tab remains applied to the project after it is saved and closed. |

Sub Projects > Phases. The hover text for the buttons 'Turn Phases Off' and 'Delete Phase' has been updated to be the same as the button name. |

Sub Projects> Sub Project Sorting. The 'Assistant project manager' access level can update the sub project sort order from the Sub Projects tab. |
Invoices > Payment Terms. The payment terms option '45 days' has been added to the invoice drop down list. Use the new payment term option on one invoice for the project, and it will be remembered for use for the next invoice on the project. |

Xero Connect > Invoice Payment Import. The payment date on the Synergy payments imported from Xero shows the Xero invoice payment date entered. |
Document Templates > Invoice Template. A new bookmark is available in the invoice document template. Add the bookmark 'sub project client reference number' to the invoice table in the header sections for a sub project, or into the sub project table in the body section. |

Document Templates > Sub Project Template. Add new bookmarks to a sub project document template. The bookmarks added to the Available Bookmarks list are: 'Sub Project Invoiced Value', 'Sub Project Charged Value', 'Sub Project Markup Value'. |

Budgets Save budget lines with 0 units or 0 budget value in the Budget tab and Work Breakdown tabs. Create 0 unit budget lines to use as Sub Project checklist items for the Work Breakdown tab. Mark the checklist items as complete after the work has been finished to stop the task appearing for future timesheet entries. |

Budgets > Refresh Budget. A Refresh Budget button has been added to the Budget and Work Breakdown tabs. Use this button to update the budget values after adding project or sub project specific rates. Update the values for only one sub project in the Sub Project > Budget tab, or all Sub Projects are updated in the Project > Budget tab. |

Project Plan > Work Breakdown > Refresh Budget. Use the Refresh Budget button in the work breakdown tab toolbar to update the budget values to use project/sub project specific rates. A pop-up warning is shown to allow you to select if all sub projects budget values will be updated. |
|
Add Sub Projects using templates > Filters. A filter option of 'Name' has been added to the 'Add Sub Projects using templates' window. Use this filter to look-up a sub project template name when a long list of templates are available. |

Project Status. Project and Sub Project status changes are now completed using the same window. Update one or many sub projects at once to have a new status applied. |

Sub Projects Tab > Cost Centre. Use the new optional column in the Sub Projects tab to show the Cost Centre for each Sub Project. |

Project Audit > Specific Rates. When a specific rate is added to a Project or Sub Project the details of how many WIP transactions were affected are shown in the Project Audit. |

Project Audit > Delete Sub Project. Deleting a Sub Project at Proposal status is tracked in the Project Audit. |

Project Audit > Phases. The Project Audit tracks when Phases is switched on/off, when a phase name is updated, and if a sub project is moved to a different phase group. |

Project Audit > Pre-Billing. The Project Audit tracks when a transaction is added, removed or updated in the Pre-Billing function for project invoices. |

Project Audit > Refresh Budget Values. Changes to budget rows by the 'refresh budget button' to update the values using specific rates for the project are tracked in the Project Audit. |

Project Plan > Work breakdown. View the Project Phases grouping in the work breakdown tab. Expand and collapse phase groups to focus on monitoring the budgets for one section of the project. Use the Phases & Sorting button in the toolbar to add a new phase, and update which phase a sub project is linked to in the project. |

Project Plan > Work Breakdown. Type a % complete for each task shown in the work breakdown. Use the % complete to track at glance the progress of each of the project tasks. When a task is 100% complete it is no longer available for use within staff timesheet entry. |

Project Plan > Sub Projects tab. Enable the use of phases for your project to group together similar sub projects on your invoice. Use the sorting button to re-order the sub projects using drag and drop. |

Invoices > Phases. A phase group can be made up of sub projects with varied fee types. When this occurs the invoice MS Word® output will use the 'mixed phase' section in the invoice fee details table on the invoice output. |

Transmittals > Package File Size. The transmittal zip package file size is shown on the general tab of the approved transmittal. This allows users to see if they can email the transmittal file to their clients. |
|
Transmittals > Drawing File Size. The drawing version file size is shown on the drawings tab of the transmittal to allow users to see if they are selecting large files to be sent out. The file size will be shown for every version created after updating to the 4.8.8 release. Versions created in prior releases will not have a file size shown. |

Drawing Register > List filters. Additional list filters added for Active and Inactive rows. The active drawing rows filter is applied by default when the drawing register is opened. |
|
Drawing Register > Note field. The note field is available for edit when the drawing row is locked. Update the note field with internal details about the progress of the work on the latest version. |
|
Drawing Register > Prefix description. In all the drawing prefix drop-downs the prefix description is shown to make it easier for staff to know when to use each of the prefixes options. |
|
Drawing Register > Duplicate row. New button included in the drawing register to copy an existing row and keep the link to the existing file in the project folder. This allows you to copy the existing row and add the drawing to a different sub project with a different prefix. This is commonly done to reflect a change in the progress/stage of the drawing. |
|
Drawing Register > Broken file link warnings. A new 'broken links' filter has been added to both the link project documents and create transmittal versions windows. Use this filter to view all the drawing rows where the linked file no longer exists. The broken link drawing rows are shown when using the 'broken links' or 'all' filters. |
|
Invoices > Pre-Billing > Placeholder transaction. When transaction-less invoices are created a pre-bill placeholder transaction is automatically created for each sub project for the invoice value. The pre-bill place holder transactions keep the transaction level reporting matching the project reports. When transactions are later attached to the invoice in pre-billing, the placeholder transactions are then removed. |

Invoices > Pre-Billing > Lock Transactions. Mark a transaction as locked in the prebilling function to stop the auto-allocate button from marking up/down the transaction value. |

Invoices > Pre-Billing > New style. A new style of pre-billing wizard is available. Expand and collapse the sub project or phase groups in the wizard, and use the select all button to easily attach transactions. Buttons to launch pre-billing have been added to the Project > Invoices tab and Invoice Maintenance List toolbars. |

Project Document > Project table. When a project table is used in the project document template, and the bookmark <Project Profit Inv Cost%> is included in the table, the bookmark output will show the profit value that matches the Project > Profitability tab. |

Documents tab. The document details panel will retain the correct height, even when a long list of documents is stored within that project sub folder. |
|
Transmittals > Word output. Contacts that are set as BCC on the transmittal are not listed in the Contacts table for the transmittal summary word output. |

Transmittals > Drawings tab. The Client # column is populated with the details entered in the drawing register when the tab is opened. |
|
Transmittals > Transmittal Summary. If an MS Excel® summary is open, another file can now be generated from the Transmittal Summary tab without having to close the open MS Excel® file. |

Project Plan > Sub Projects tab. Phases can be switched Off when invoices exist. The previous requirement to create one phase for each sub project prior to switching phases Off is no longer valid. You can disable phases at any point in the project life cycle, and the existing invoices are not impacted. Also sub projects of any status can be within the same phase group, it is not a requirement to update the entire phase group to the same status. |

Documents > Letter Documents. When using the letter document wizard the actual project folder list is shown in 'Folder' drop down list, not the template folder list. |

Documents > Letter Documents. If the file name already exists in the project folder when saving a letter to controlled, a number is added to the file name. i.e. letter name (1) or letter name (2). |

MYOB AccountRight Live Connect. Synergy Connect module has been added to support MYOB AccountRight Live Basics, Standard or Plus products. The 2013 and 2014 versions are supported. Export of Invoices, Credit Notes, Supplier Expenses and Staff Expenses is supported. Invoice Payments can either be exported or imported from MYOB. |

Xero Connect > Supplier expense payments import. Enable the new Xero Connect setting to import supplier expense payments. When the payment is made in full the date of the payment and the payment note are imported to Synergy. An additional tab for Supplier Expense Payments is shown in the Connect Preview window when this setting is enabled. |

MYOB Connect > Payments Export. The MYOB API expects that the Card ID and Contact Name match when accepting payments from Synergy to V19. Synergy will look-up the contact name in MYOB for use when exporting payments to ensure different contact names can exist in MYOB & Synergy. |
|
Xero Connect > Special characters error. When a file separator special character is found in the Sub Project name for an invoice it is ignored to allow the Xero sync to complete. The file separator special character is not supported for use in Xero. |
|
Management Reports > Project Win Loss Report. A new view has been added to show the project $ values and new filters for date range, cost centre and disciplines. |
|
Download > Online Library. Report templates have been added to the online library for Project Revenue Forecasting, Sub Project Revenue Forecasting, Staff Timesheet reporting, and Sub Project work breakdown budgeting. Click the Download button in Reports to add these to your report library. |
|
Contact Reports > Contact Expenses Disbursements Report. The column 'transaction note' has been added to the contact expenses disbursement report to allow users to show the notes from the disbursements tab on their report output. |

Practice Reports > Customised reports in Project reports list. If customised MS Excel® output Practice reports have been created for your company by Synergy, these reports can now be seen in the reports list within a project. |
|
Rates > Project Audit. When changing the rate value the details of how many WIP transactions were altered is tracked in the Project Audit for each affected project. |
|
Staff and Application Security > Remuneration. The superannuation levy changes can be updated to all staff record via a new wizard in Financial controls. |
|
Staff and Application Security > Remuneration. Alter the overhead adjustment value on each staff record to mark up/down the overhead cost. This allows you to mark up/down the cost for staff in different offices or cost centres. Changes to the overhead adjustment are tracked in the staff history, and can be rolled back if required. |

Staff and Application Security > Remuneration. When the company overhead factor is set to zero, the remuneration effective date prompt is still shown when the staff member's salary is adjusted. |

Document templates > Invoice Type > Phases. Extra bookmark 'New Residual $' has been added to the Phase rows in the Fee Detail Table for all Invoice templates.Use the New Residual column to display the remaining amount to be invoiced at a phase level on your MS Word® output. |

Document Templates > Invoice Type > Fee Detail Table. Setup the bookmarks to be shown for the 'Mixed Phase' section in the invoice fee detail table. This section is used when the sub projects in a phase group have different fee types attached. If all the sub projects in a phase have the same fee type, then the existing phase sections will be used in the fee detail table invoice output. |

Document Templates > Long bookmark names. When adding bookmarks for attributes to a document template, the bookmark name is truncated if the attribute name is longer than 40 characters. This change ensures that all attribute bookmarks included in document templates populate correctly. |
|
Email Templates > Font, colours & spacing. When setting up new email templates the font, colour and paragraph spacing options selected will be applied to the email output. Previous email templates that did not work correctly with these options will need to be re-created after upgrading to the 4.8.8 release to resolve these issues. |
|
Upgrade > Multi Office. When using a multi office Synergy configuration and upgrading Synergy to the latest release, the latest Synergy installer is downloaded to the Synergy > Client installer directory for each office location. |
|
Synergy Upgrade Wizard. The 'download the latest version' screen has changed. This Synergy upgrade screen now displays the current version of Synergy installed and the version available for download. Synergy clients need to upgrade to the 4.8.8 release before they will see this new style of upgrade wizard. |
|
License Expiry > Warning pop-up. The Synergy license expiry warning will not be shown if an automatic credit card draw-down payment method has been chosen. Instead when paying by credit card this warning is only shown when the license has actually expired and entered the grace period due to a problem with the credit card payment. |
|
System Settings > Project Settings. Create the address from the project title setting has been updated to populate the Address 1 field with the text entered after a comma ',' in the Project Title. |
|
System Settings > Links Settings. Include the date and time in the default email file name used by the MS Outlook® plugin. add HH-mm-ss to your existing date bookmark on the links tab. |
|
System Settings > Documents Settings. Create a customised drawing file name using bookmarks. This file name is applied to all the drawings files included in a transmittal zip package file. |
|
System Performance. The memory usage for many functions has been reduced by an upgrade of the telerik control set. Using the following functions will be faster and use less memory: Transmittals, Document Management, Resource Management, Xero Connect, MYOB Live Connect, and the Management Reports. |

Financial Controls > Superannuation Levy. Wizard added to allow the superannuation levy changes to be applied to all the existing Synergy staff records. Update the default superannuation levy then save the changes and the update existing staff wizard will be shown. |
