The method that creates a secure communication channel between Synergy and MYOB AccountRight Live uses a secure transport layer called TLS. MYOB has strengthened their security and as at the 30th September 2018 requires that all data be sent using TLS 1.2.
MYOB API previously used TLS 1.0, and this option is now being retired by MYOB and from many other services providers. The upgrade to the new TLS 1.2 has been completed to ensure the integrity and security of communications, and these vulnerabilities are unable to be fixed in this older version of TLS.
MYOB development team advice that many of the other API services around the internet are also be making this change (if they haven't already). They have provided this article from Global Sign that talk about their change to TLS security https://www.globalsign.com/en/blog/disable-tls-10-and-all-ssl-versions/
As of 30th September 2018 the MYOB API will no longer accept connections using TLS1.0. Upgrade to Synergy 4.9.9 to keep using Connect.
Upgrade to Synergy 4.9.9 release, which has had changes applied to Connect to transfer all the data to MYOB AccountRight Live using TLS 1.2.
IMPORTANT: Install this release before 30 September 2018 to keep using MYOB AccountRight Live Connect.
After this date the previous MYOB API interface will no longer be supported by MYOB. You will not be able to use MYOB AccountRight Live Connect after September 30 if you do not upgrade to this release.
