Synergy Backup Process Overview

This topic provides and overview of how the backup process works within Synergy.

Synergy Backup

A windows batch file is generated through the Synergy application on your server. Then Windows task scheduler is used to run the batch file as often as required (Daily, Weekly etc.). You can use a third party tool to transfer the backup file to an alternate location. This process is described in the image below. 

Your Synergy consultant will help you setup the backup process during the initial installation. At this time please write down the location of the batch file and also the backup file location. These locations are important, as if any of the files or folders used for the backup process are changed, then the backup will not work.
