Tips:
If you choose not to update the breakdown items with the new status, simply leave the box unchecked. The status for a contract item may be changed at any time and will impose no constraints on the item or its amount.
Tip: Only items with the same status as the Contract currently will be updated.
A new contract breakdown item is created and set to DRAFT status. However the Contract is already In Progress status. When the Contract is changed to Practical Completion, the contract item won't be updated.
What you can and can't do with the various status':
When a contract is first saved, the default status it is assigned is Draft. The original practical completion date and original contract sum can only be modified while the contract is assigned this status.
Assign the contract to this status once the contract has commenced. Whilst the contract is assigned this status the original contract sum may not be modified, and the original practical completion date can only be amended by System Administrators.
Assign the contract to this status once the contract has reached practical completion. The current practical completion date may not be modified while the contract is assigned this status. The Practical Completion status permits Notices of Practical Completion to be created. Depending on the Contract Security type chosen, the first release of security is performed at this time.
Assign the contract to this status once the contract has reached final completion and the first release of security has been created (where applicable). The current practical completion date and current contract sum may not be modified while the contract is assigned this status. The Final Completion status permits a Certificate of Final Completion to be created.
