Teams Tab
Attach staff to the projects that you'd expect to have working on them.
You can then restrict only those in the project
team access to it.

Manually
attach a project team
Project > Team
- Select a staff member from the list.
- Nominate the staff to a particular sub project or <All>
sub projects.
- Select a skill from the list - this is optional.
- Save.
- Repeat for each staff to appear in the project team.
Use a project team template
Project
> Team
Templates make the
process of attaching your project team much quicker.
- Click the project
team template button
.
- Tick to select
one or more teams from the list.
- The far column
indicates how many staff are attached to the template - double click to
reveal who has been attached to it.
This can also be done within the
sub project itself.
Allow
only project team members access to a project
Now that there is a project team, you could also change the setting
on an individual project that will restrict all other staff access except
for those on the project team. What will occur
is all other staff but the project team will not be able to see the project
in the list in searches, timesheets or reports.
Complete the following steps
- Within
the project select Action.
- Select
Restrict access to only the project team members.
- Repeat
this process to remove the restriction.
- This
can also be done with the sub project itself.
Tip: Users with Administrator, Director and System Administrator access level
have full access to Projects whether they are attached as a team member
or not
Considerations
when using Project teams and Multi Offices
- When a project is assigned an 'Office', if a staff member
has not been attached to that office, they cannot be attached to the project
as a team member.
- If a project team template is being attached to the
project, similarly if the staff member is not attached to that office,
they cannot be attached to the project.
- A user that has Project Manager access that is attached
to only a Sub Project, is able to view all Project details - even though
they are not listed as the Sub Project or Project Manager.
