Sub Projects Tab

The sub projects filter is shown in the top left corner. Sub Projects with different status options are filtered out using this drop down list, and the status is set on the Sub Project in the Synergy desktop application. Use the available filter options to alter which phases and sub projects are shown:

1. Proposal and ActiveThis is the default filter for the tab, and it shows sub projects with a Proposal or Active status set. If the status used is a 'custom status' for either Proposal or Active, then it will also be shown in the filter. This is the default filter for the tab so that you only see the parts of the job that are still in progress.
2. ProposalOnly sub projects with the Proposal status (or a custom proposal status) assigned will be shown using this list filter. This lets you quickly find the parts of the job that are not confirmed as won yet.
3. ActiveOnly sub projects with the status set as 'Active' (or a custom active status) are shown. Active sub projects are the parts of the job that you have won, and invoicing can begin on to the client.
4. CompleteSub projects that have the status of complete or unsuccessful are shown using this filter. These are the parts of the project that users can no longer enter additional timesheets or expenses.
5. AllSub Projects with any status are shown. i.e. Proposal, Active, Complete, or Unsuccessful status.

1. NameThe name of the sub project (or phase group) is shown. This is read only, and can only be updated in the desktop application. This name appears on documents like invoices or transmittals to describe the stage of work to the client.
2. Fee TypeThe billing method set on the sub project is shown. This billing options that can be shown are: Fixed fee (a fixed value can be invoiced for this sub project), or 'Percent of Project' (a fixed value that is calculated as a percentage of the contract value), or 'Hourly/Cost Rate' to invoice the timesheet or expense transaction costs to the client (no fixed value - at time and materials), or 'Capped Rates' where time and expenses are billed up to a set value, or 'No Billing' where all transactions are written off and not billed to the client.
3. StatusThis shows the current status of the Sub Project. i.e. Proposal, Active, Complete, or Unsuccessful.
4. ManagerThis shows the internal staff member that is set as the sub project manager, to look after that part of the project.
5. DisciplineThe discipline shows the category or type of work to each sub project for reporting purposes. i.e. Architecture or Engineering etc.
6. Cost CentreThe cost centre shows the office or region for which the work is being completed.
