Downloads List

Open Downloads List by click the expand menu button in the top toolbar , and then select Support. Next select the Downloads button in the Support toolbar.

What is Downloads List?

The Downloads List allows you to obtain a copy of Synergy installation files and training documents. This area replaces the need to use the Total Synergy FTP site, and allows you to download the latest files from Support within Synergy Cloud Services.

Downloads List displays the files which are available for your Synergy database license, and your Synergy user access level. Access to the download files is linked to the login account used for Synergy Cloud Services and ensures you only see download files available for your Synergy product (Enterprise, Foundation or Xpress). This makes sure that you can only download files that you can use for the Synergy product that you have installed.

Why use Downloads List?

Download a copy of the latest Synergy installation files and training documents.

Actions available

ClosedDownload a file

Get the file in the list by using the 'Download' button , which shown on the right side of the page for each download file.

By default the web browser will attempt to open the file chosen (Images, Videos, PDF files etc). If this is not possible, then the file is downloaded to your local computer.

ClosedAlternate method to download the file:

Download a file to your computer, which opens in a web browser window by default.

  1. Locate the required file in the list.
  2. Right mouse click on the 'Downloads' button and select 'Save link as' from the list.
  3. In the Save as window, select where to save the file to on your computer.
  4. Press Save.
ClosedWhat type of file will be downloaded?

Check the type of file that is available for download by looking at the image above the download button.

Different images are shown for each type of file extension. These images are:

  1. Images ClosedShown for images with the file extension of either jpg, jpep, png, gif, and bmp.
  2. Documents ClosedShown for documents with the file extension of either doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls and xlsx.
  3. Video ClosedShown for videos with the file extension of either mp4, mpeg, mpg, mpe, avi, mov, qt, swf, and flv.
  4. Compressed or Package ClosedShown for compressed or package files with extensions of zip, bin, exe, and msi.
  5. PDF ClosedShown for any document with a PDF file extension.
  6. Unknown ClosedAll other file extension types not listed above will display this image.
ClosedFiltering and Sorting

Click the 'Search filter' button in the toolbar to view the filter options. Click the 'Search' button to apply the filter. The filter options available are:

  1. CategoryClosedSelect a category from the drop down list, and only the download files within that category will be shown in the list.
  2. Sort ByClosedSelect if the files are sorted by the 'Published' date, 'Title', or 'File Name' fields. The default list sort is the 'published' date option.
  3. Ascending/DescendingClosedSelect if the files for the sort by method chosen are shown in ascending or descending order.

Tip: Click the refresh button to reset to the default filtering and sorting options.

ClosedSearch

Click the 'Search filter' button in the top toolbar to search for a keyword in the Title, Description, and File Name fields for all the download files. Complete a search by:

  1. Typing the keyword into search box.
  2. Click the 'Search' button to run the search.
  3. The results are displayed in Downloads List.

Tip: Click the refresh button to return to viewing all download files in the list.

ClosedRefresh the list

Use the refresh button in the toolbar to see the latest download files. Also use refresh to return to the default list view, removing any applied filters, sorting, or search results.

Columns available

ClosedThe following columns are available in Downloads List
  1. TitleClosedThe title of the file to provide a short description of the download.
  2. DescriptionClosedA long description of the file, and why it is commonly used.
  3. CategoryClosedFiles are grouped together into categories to keep similar files together. i.e. The files to install Synergy would be within the 'Install' category.
  4. File NameClosedThe name that the file will be saved as by default once downloaded.
  5. File SizeClosedThe size of the file available for download .
  6. PublishedClosedThe date that the file was made available for download.
