My Projects

 

New icon on the project list to allow the user to clear their 'My Projects' list.

Debtor Notes

 

Debtor Notes are now available on Invoices. There is also a report and reminders can be set against notes.

Create Final Invoice in Word from the invoice form

 

ISSUE  Once a final invoice was created, if the invoice was double clicked, an invoice summary form appeared.  From here the word invoice button was clicked and the invoice number was showing up as DRAFT and the document was being saved as DRAFT.doc. This is now resolved.

SOLUTION  Either highlight the invoice number or double click it.  Click the button Show or Create the word invoice.  This will re-export the invoices to word and be saved in the invoices directory as the invoice number.  Delete any DRAFT.doc files in the invoices directory.  NOTE if you’ve made any formatting changes to the DRAFT word document, these will not carry through when you re-export the invoice to word.

Creating Correspondence

 

ISSUE  If a bookmark is missing on a document an error message appears and now contains the name of the missing bookmark.  This will occur if a bookmark has been deleted from the template. 

SOLUTION  To resolve this error from happening at all, navigate to the template in Administration Tools.  Select Edit Bookmarks.   Highlight the bookmark from the right hand side and remove it.  Click Next and Finish.  Save the document and close.

Weekly Timesheets

 

ISSUE  Previously if a note was added to a timesheet already saved in the weekly view, the note was note saved.  This has now been resolved.

Shortcuts

 

Using Ctrl + S will now save changes on a form. Also Ctrl + D will delete and Ctrl + Z will undo.

PROJECTS MODULE

Project list

Project Screen Filter

 

The view for active projects now only shows the active and custom active status projects. There is also a new view to show proposal status projects.

Search

 

New search options for project including status, address, attribute and scope of work.

Within a project

Project Contacts

 

Sorting on Project Contacts now works.

Sub Projects

 

Fixed the sub project selection to include assistant project managers.

 

 

When creating a new sub project the tax defaults to 'Tax Applicable'.

Financials

 

Fixed the issue where the residual value does not change when the agreed fee of the sub project is updated.

Performance

 

Project performance tab now has the default view to exclude WIP.

WIP

 

When transferring WIP the financial data is now correctly refreshed when returning from the transfer module.

Invoices

 

The default display of invoices against a project is now descending.

Transactions

 

On the transactions tab on the Project and Sub Project form there is now a column for units.

Expenses

 

Moved the Invoice and Office Expenses to the Project menu so that project managers can enter and maintain expenses.

Creating Correspondence

 

Fixed the issues with the address bookmark showing blank lines if the address is blank and if Site Address 2 was blank this would leave a blank line between the Site Address 1 and the Suburb.

INVOICING MODULE

Within the invoice wizard

Custom Invoice Numbers

 

There is a new System Setting that will allow the user to designate a custom Invoice Number to a DRAFT invoice during creation. This invoice number must be unique and be in the standard Invoice Number format (3 Alpha followed by 5 numeric characters). 

Copy Text

 

The 'Copy Text' button now works in the invoice wizard.

View invoice in word

 

When exporting invoices to Word, the 'Show Zero charges on invoices' flag is now on the document creation wizard and functions correctly.

Expenses (Invoice/Bills)

 

When using the TAB in the unit column during the entry of a new disbursement there is no longer an error that stating that the units are mandatory.

REPORTS MODULE

Look and feel

 

 

A blank line has been added after grouping totals to improve the look of the reports.

 

 

The 'Payroll Report' is now formatted correctly when extracted, and the date is formatted correctly when viewed in the standard report format.

Filters

 

 

'IS' NOT

 

There is a new filter option for text fields (such as sub project name) called 'IS NOT'.

Status filter

 

Fixed the filter for status on invoice reports.

Attributes

 

Attributes against personnel now function correctly when used for filters on the personnel reports.

Office Activities

 

The office activities are now available in filters for the timesheet reports.

'IS' Draft

 

All DRAFT invoices appear now when the invoice filter "invoice number IS DRAFT" is used on invoice reports.

Other changes

 

 

Sub project summary

 

Sub project summary report had the project title and reference swapped.

Time and expenses

 

The <Office> project now shows on timesheet and expense reports.

Budget Analysis

 

The Sub Project agreed fee was missing on the sub project budget analysis report.

Transaction reports

 

Assistant project managers are no longer missing three transaction level reports and the staff activity reports.

Export to excel

 

Fixed the issue where the export to excel failed because the tab pages would not be unique or contained special characters such as quotes.

Columns

Project Transaction Performance

 

Added the 'Invoiced', 'Profit', 'Profit %', 'Cost' and 'Value (Est)' columns to the Project Transaction Performance Report.

Credit ex tax

 

Column 'Credit Ex Tax' is now available on the invoice detail report as a optional column.

MY SYNERGY

Timesheets and Expenses

Renaming

 

The timesheet module has been renamed 'Time and Expenses'.

F4

 

Fixed the issues relating with the use of the f4 toggle to switch between Project Number and Project Reference Name in the timesheet module.

Print pending expenses

 

When generating the expense report there is now an option to include all dates.

Date range on printout

 

The timesheet summary report now allows the user to define the date range when generated from the 'Time and Expenses' module.

Travel expenses

 

The note is no longer mandatory when entering travel expenses.

Transaction Queries

Expenses

 

Fixed the issue where the query is against an expense disbursement and there is more than one disbursement line. The query was not being routed properly and the disbursement was becoming lost as it was not linked correctly to a user in synergy.

Search

Stores last search options

 

Search will now remember the last options selected when returning to the search module.

Invoices now available

 

Invoices can now be found using the search module.

Notes

Display on screen

 

The notes plug-in now shows the full text in the available column width, and the rest shows in the tooltip text when hovering over the note.

Documents

New PCA template

 

Added new document template for Progress Claims (PCA - Progress Claim Assessment).

Attach to Defects

 

Documents can now be attached to defects.

Link to Directory

 

Documents created now default to the project directory.

General

New combo box

 

Updated all drop-downs to use the new style combo-box.

Adjustment of Time

Default date

 

The calendar used for Adjustments Of Time now defaults to the current date.

Can now use decimals

 

Adjustment of time is no longer stored as a whole number, decimals are now valid.

RFI

Default date

 

Fixed the RFI response required default date for the inbound RFI.

Security

 

Only project managers and higher can see the contract admin tab in projects.

TOOLS MODULE

 

Office

 

 

Address

 

The office address will now save correctly when modified.

MS Office Add-ins

 

 

Outlook Add in

 

Moved the Synergy Add-Ins install/remove facility to the User Settings form.

Outlook Sync

 

The <Office> Project has been removed from the email transfer selection in Outlook.

 

 

The export to outlook now functions correctly when a contact or personnel has an apostrophe in their name.

Staff Rates

View standard with staff rates

 

Each staff charge our rates OH Cost and Charge is displayed on the staff rates grid for classifications.

Inactive over-time rates are no longer available for selection.

Super

 

Fixed issue where super is mandatory against staff records.

GENERAL

Framework

Save options

 

The green save disc on grids now triggers a save when clicked or if the cell has focussed then enter is pressed.

Sort order

 

Sort order is retained when returning to a module and the data is refreshed.

Word invoices

 

Invoices will no longer open using internet explorer, word is always used.

Drop down lists

 

Fixed the use of the numeric keypad on standard keyboards when searching in drop down lists.

Date Attributes

 

When using date attributes the default date is now set to today's date.
