Link Project Documents

Link the drawing register rows to an actual file in the Synergy Document Library. Linked files can be sent out on Transmittal Summary Documents. NEW 4.8.5

Tip: Before you can link the file to the drawing register row, the file must be saved in the Synergy Project Folder, or as a Controlled file within the Project Document Library.

What is Link Project Documents?

The drawing register creation consists of three main steps:

  1. Setup the Drawing Register.
  2. Link to Project Documents.
  3. Select Transmittal Versions.

This topic outlines how to complete Step 2. To link the drawing register rows to an document or drawing file located in the Project Document Library. The files can be stored within either the controlled or uncontrolled document libraries, and all files and file extension types are available to be linked to a drawing register row.

Why use Link Project Document?

Choose which project documents can be sent out with the transmittal summary document.

Actions available

Tip: If you are using Synergy Foundation, all files saved within the Project Folder will be shown as an Uncontrolled Documents. Upgrade to Synergy Enterprise to create Controlled files in the Document Management module.

Columns available

Tip: Inactive drawing rows are not shown in this window. Reactive the row in the drawing register if you need to alter the linked project document.
