Move Synergy directory

Carry out the following steps if you are wanting to move the physical location of the Synergy directory and it's contents.

Tips:

If you are unsure about doing this, please contact support on 61 2 8197 9000.
If you need to move the physical database, refer to the topic Move servers.

Move the Synergy folder

There will be a folder called Synergy either directly in C:\ or in your data directory on the server. This folder needs to be moved to your desired location:

Before you Start

ENSURE ALL USERS HAVE CLOSED ALL DOCUMENTS AND DRAWINGS

STORED WITHIN THE Synergy FOLDER and

REMAIN OUT UNTIL SUCH TIME THE Synergy DIRECTORY IS IN PLACE

Change the Synergy folder location

Open Synergy.
Tools > Office Settings > Network. Type the network path in the field as follows:

Tip: There is no need to type Synergy at the end of the Network path eg. \\New Server\Synergy OR \\New Server\Company Files\Synergy.
