Synergy MSI Installer

The MSI Installer allows a silent installation of the Synergy desktop client to be performed using group policy.

What is the Synergy MSI Installer?

The MSI Installer package for Synergy allows you to complete the installation silently to multiple network computers. This allows the Synergy application to be install on each of the users computers, without any interruption. This can be useful in a large organisation, where many computers require Synergy to be installed.

An understanding of group policy to be able to use this installation method is required. The MSI Installer does not check that the prerequisite files for Synergy are installed. It is important to install all of the prerequisite files before running the Synergy MSI Installer on the desktop computers.

This method to install Synergy should only be used by network administrators. If you are not certain how the MSI install process works, please use our step by step installation guide instead.

Prerequisite Install Applications

Each computer will need to have the following items installed prior to the Synergy installer being run.

The installer assumes that these items have been installed on the target PC. Please make sure that the prerequisite files are installed before running the MSI installer.
