An outbound RFI is used to generate a request for information intended to be issued to one of the parties of the contract. Each outbound RFI which is created has an automatically generated number. Outbound RFI's may also be used as responses to inbound RFI's.
Where is it? Contracts > Requests for Information tab
Tips:
This is the default status assigned to an outbound RFI when it is first created and saved. Whilst within draft status amendment to the outbound RFI is allowed for the following fields: Date Issued, To, Response Required By, Subject, and Body.
This status is assigned to an outbound RFI once it has been issued to a recipient. This status is automatically assigned once the outbound RFI has been 'marked as issued'. This status disables amendment to the outbound RFI details for the following fields: Date Issued, To, Response Required By, Subject, and Body.
This status is assigned to an outbound RFI once a response has been received for it.
If a draft outbound RFI has been created as a response to an inbound RFI which is pending response, when the status of the outbound RFI is changed to Pending Response a message will appear which asks whether you want to change the status of the inbound RFI to Responded (see Responding to an inbound RFI). Selecting Yes will change the status of the inbound RFI to Responded. Selecting No will only update the status of the outbound RFI to Pending Response.
If the draft outbound RFI has been created as a response to an inbound RFI which has already been responded to, when the status of the outbound RFI is changed to Pending Response a message will appear which asks whether you want to update the Latest Response Date of the inbound RFI. Selecting Yes will update the Latest Response Date of the inbound RFI to the current date. Selecting No will only update the status of the outbound RFI to Pending Response.
