Tips:
Each contract instruction that is created is classified by a Contract Instruction Type. Based on the type of instruction, a default set of text may be used for the instruction body by ticking 'Use default instruction text'.
A Contract Instruction can also be issued in response to an RFI, in this case the Instruction Type defaults to 'Response to RFI'. Learn how to create contract instruction types.
This is the default status assigned to a contract instruction when it is first created and saved.
This status is assigned to an instruction once it has been issued.
If a contract instruction has been created as a response to an inbound RFI which is pending response, when the status of the contract instruction is changed to Issued, a message will appear which asks whether you want to change the status of the inbound RFI to Responded.
Selecting Yes will change the status of the inbound RFI to Responded. Selecting No will only update the status of the contract instruction to Issued.
If a draft contract instruction has been created as a response to an inbound RFI which has already been responded to, when the status of the contract instruction is changed to Issued, a message will appear which asks whether you want to update the Latest Response Date of the inbound RFI.
Selecting Yes will update the Latest Response Date of the inbound RFI to the current date. Selecting No will only update the status of the contract instruction to Issued.
