Before you start syncing information between Synergy and MYOB AccountRight using MYOB Connect, some changes may need to be made first.
Tip: Not seeing the Connect module? Contact Total Synergy Support to request this to be added to your Synergy licence.
If you have chosen to link an invoice to an existing project number within MYOB AccountRight, it will need to resemble the same number as setup in Synergy.
MYOB AccountRight = 2018021 / the new number in Synergy is 20180021. The only way to successfully sync new Synergy invoices to the existing job number in MYOB AccountRight is for them to be identical.
Tips:
A Contact within Synergy will need to be spelled exactly the same in MYOB AccountRight (or vice versa) to enable correct allocation of invoices.
MYOB AccountRight = Total Synergy & Synergy = Total Synergy Pty Ltd
In this case a new card file will be created and the invoice allocated to the new card file. Which is not what you want.
Action
MYOB has ACME Constructions setup as a Customer and Supplier. When the sync occurs the MYOB AccountRight cannot distinguish between one or the other, so doesn't know where to allocate the invoice.

Tip: Any card file not already in MYOB AccountRight will be added when the invoice is imported.
In order for payments to sync back to Synergy or vice versa, the invoice number would also need to be the same as what’s in Synergy. If they are not the same, the payment will not be imported to Synergy and an error will appear in the Synergy Connect log.
