Before using MYOB Advanced, you need to activate the use of ODBC both with MYOB and within your MYOB datafile.

Tip: This is required before using Synergy Connect for MYOB V19 - for both Australia and New Zealand MYOB V19 product lines.
MYOB clients on V19.11 or above can use the online activation process. Activate your MYOB company file before you can start using Synergy Connect by:

Call MYOB on 1300 555 151 and select the option to connect an add-on solution to MYOB. (Press 1 for registered MYOB client then 4).
You are activating ODBC on your company datafile - have your serial number handy. When prompted quote the Add-on solution Activation Number 10,387.
Tip: The above is the phone number for Australia only.
Activate the company file by email is the easiest method for the Australia and New Zealand V19 classic products.

We’ve use the Total Synergy Practice Management Software and would like to register our data file to use ODBC. Our details are as follows:
Could you please let me know once you have the odbc activated for your company file?
Then we can continue the setup process for Synergy Connect.

1. Open MYOB > Setup > Company Information.
2. Select the License button
3. The enable license screen will appear, select Enable Online.
4. The datafile will now connect to the MYOB site to validate use of MYOB ODBC. If you are unable to connect online with MYOB follow the steps on screen to receive a Confirmation Code from MYOB.
