Printing a credit note

This topic outlines how to print a credit note, by using MS Word® document templates.

How to print a credit note

  1. Open Invoice Maintenance List. Go to Projects > Invoice Maintenance List.
  1. In Invoice Maintenance List locate the credit note you want to print.
    For example: You can see if a credit note exists, by checking the 'Credits Inc Tax $' column. If this column shows a credit value, then a credit note has already been created for the invoice shown in the list. An example of this is shown in the image below, in the red highlighted box.

  1. Select the invoice in the list, and then click the icon 'Show the full credit details for this invoice' in the toolbar. This is highlighted in a red box in the image above.

  1. Invoice Details screen opens. Select the credit note row which is shown in red, then click the icon 'Show or create Word invoice' in the toolbar. This is highlighted in a red box in the image below.

  1. Select the credit note MS Word® template in the list, that you want to use to create the document. The image below shows a sample of the list of templates.
  2. Press the create button

  1. The credit note will then be shown in MS Word®. This can be edited as required, before printing or converting to a PDF file. A sample credit note is shown below.
