SQL 2014 Management Studio - Server Install

Setup required before use	Who Can Use It?	Where Is It?
SQL 2014 Express Installed Or an alternate supported version of SQL installed	System Administrator	Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Management Studio

The files can be downloaded from Support in Synergy Cloud Services. Please use the links below to download the installation files:

• 64 bit SQL Express 2014 Management Studio x64.zip OR 

Unzip this file to your server and then proceed with the Install Instructions.

Locate the installation file that you downloaded, and launch the SQL 2014 Management Studio installer file. This installer file will be named either:

1. Locate the unzipped folder created. e.g. If you unzipped the file to your desktop, then locate the folder below:
   • \\Desktop\SQL Express 2014 management Studio x64\SQL Express 2014 management Studio x64
2. Run the file in this folder called 'setup'.

3. If User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the server, click Yes to start the SQL setup process.

Select 'New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation’.

Click the image above to view the commence installation screen.

If any updates are available for SQL Server 2014 these will be listed. Select any updated which will be installed, then click next.

The installation of the setup software required to for SQL 2014 Management Studio will commence. This process will take a few minutes to complete.

Click the image above to view the Install Setup Files screen.

Select 'Perform a new installation of SQL Server 2014', and then click Next.

Check the 'I accept the license terms' box to agree to the Microsoft license terms, then click Next.

Check the box to install 'Shared Features > Management Tools - Basic', and then click Next.

Click the image above to view the Feature Selection screen.

The install process will be shown on screen, this may take a few minutes.

Click the image above to view the Installation Progress screen.

Check the results show that SQL has been installed successfully. Click Close to exit the install wizard.
